First Impression | Superdrug Coconut Oil ♡

I had seen this product on a number of beauty blogs and I was eager to give it a go - especially as it has such a small price tag. There are many different ways to use this product, although the main use seems to be as a hair conditioner. I have also seen a few people use it as a cleansing balm, although I am yet to try using it like this.
On first use, I used this product as a hair conditioner. After shampooing my hair, I applied this to the ends of my hair and sort of worked my way up. The formula is really really strange, as it is actually a solid 'balm' type consistency that supposedly melts into an oil when it comes in to contact with hot water. I really didn't find this at all, I found that it mainly stayed solid in my hands, which made application really difficult. While I had the product in my hair I didn't feel that it made my hair feel soft or 'conditioned' at all, I just found it difficult to wash out. I had to use shampoo twice to actually be able to get most of this product out of my hair. After that quite problematic application, I decided to see what it was like as a body moisturiser. I did actually like the product a lot more when I used it like this, it is much more moisturising. I really like how the lovely coconut smell stays on your skin. The only thing I did find with this is that is does take a while for it to fully sink in to the skin, so I was left with that gross 'sticky' feeling for a while.
After getting out of the shower, I dried my hair to find that my hair was left very heavy and greasy, as the coconut oil had not been completely washed out of my hair. I'd be really interested to find out whether this was to do with my error in washing my hair or if other people have had this problem when using this product as a conditioner.
I think that I will continue to use this product as a body moisturiser, but I would have to really think about it before trying to use it as a conditioner again.

Have you tried this product? Do you have any tips for me to get the most out of this product? Please let me know in the comments!

The Bucket List ♡

I have decided to add in a few 'lifestyle' type posts to my blog as the idea received a lot of good feedback on twitter! I love making bucket lists, I have been doing it for years and it's so nice to actually know what things in the world you wish to achieve or visit before you pass away. ..So here is mine!

1. Visit Disney World.

Now, I am very aware that this is one of the most cliche things I could have put on my bucket list. I am also aware of the fact that I am over 10 years old. No matter how old I get, and no matter how cheesy and over the top I know Disney World would be, I can't help but long to visit. It seems like such a lovely place and I pray i'll be able to experience it at some point.

2. Play Hide and Seek in Ikea.

This is of course inspired by the well known Ikea scene in the movie 500 Days Of Summer. This sounds so weird but I think that it would just be so fun, especially as I haven't actually been to Ikea before.

3. Finish an entire lipstick.

Although a lot of the things on my bucket list require me having to travel to somewhere to experience them, I also have strange little seemingly meaningless things that I also want to achieve. Finishing a lipstick may seem like a weird thing to want to set out to do, but it's something that i've never done before and I suppose there's a first time for everything.. plus I gain weird satisfaction for finishing things like pens or notebooks..

4. Do an American Beauty Box Swap.

I've always seen people do these and i've been so jealous, i'd absolutely love to do this! There are soooo many  products from America that I am longing to try, and i'd love to send some quintessentially British beauty items to someone in America too.

5. Host a Charity Event.

One of my biggest goals in life is to host some sort of Charity Event. I'm not sure what I want to do or who I want to raise money for, but I just think that it would be so rewarding and fantastic to raise money for some amazing charities.

6. Visit Juliet's Balcony in Verona, Italy.

To be completely honest, I didn't know that this was an actual thing until I saw the film Letters To Juliet. I'd love to visit Italy in general but there is something about this balcony and the part in the story of Romeo and Juliet that really interests me.

7. Visit Strawberry Fields in Central Park.

As a huge fan of The Beatles, this just feels like an absolutely essential place to visit before I die. I've already been to all of the sites in Liverpool like Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane, but i'd love to visit those again too. I love the history behind their fame and all of the places that inspired their music.

8. Learn to play at least one song on the piano.

I think it has been evident since I was very young that I am not at all musically gifted. I'd love to be able to play just one song on piano, even if it's chopsticks. I just think that it is a skill that i'd like to develop before I die.

9. Walk the Brooklyn Bridge.

It would be a dream for me to even see the Brooklyn Bridge, but i'd love to walk across it, it's just one of those weird little things that I want to do that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

10. Attend Glastonbury Festival.

Ever since I was small I have wanted to go to a festival, every single summer I find myself watching all of the highlights from all of the various festivals on TV. I go to about 473847 gigs a year so i'd love a festival because it's like one massive gig. I can't wait!

Do you have a bucket list? Do you want to do any of these things too? Let me know in the comments!

GCSE Results | Leaving School....

The fact that I actually left school this summer seems absolutely crazy to me, five years have absolutely flown by and i've met some amazing people. Today I walked up to School for possibly the last time to collect my GCSE Results. I was soooo nervous and pretty much expected the worst, but I ended up getting 2A*s, 6As, 4Bs and 1C, which I am happy with. I'm so excited to move on to college and meet even more people, the next two years are going to be great and i'm so glad to have passed this milestone in my life with no major problems or disappointments.

Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo | Eternal Gold ♡

I am very late to invest in one of the Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoos, but after purchasing my Naked Palette I was hesitant to purchase any other eye products to make sure that I got my moneys worth out of my Naked Palette. Despite this, I decided to invest when Superdrug held a '3 for 2' offer on all Maybelline products. I am definitely a sucker for gold eye products, much like 'Half Baked' by Urban Decay.

What I love about this product is that it is so versatile - I usually just use it as a base all across my lid and then blend it out using one of my Real Techniques brushes. However, I have also started to try using tiny bits of it blended into my crease. They're great if you're in a rush as they're so easy to apply. They are so amazingly pigmented and the shimmer transfers so well onto the eyes. I'm not sure about a 24hr hold as I personally haven't kept my make up on for 24 straight hours, but I do find that they definitely last all day, they don't seem to budge! I can't wait to buy some more of these!

Have you tried these products? Have you tried any other cream eyeshadows? Let me know in the comments!

3 Mini Reviews for 3 Mini Products | Benefit ♡

On a trip to my local Boots store, I noticed a little Benefit mini bundle for around £9. I had been eager to try out all of the products included in the package, so I decided to pick one up. This seemed like such a better idea than buying even one of the products full size, as make up products can often be very hit and miss.

Porefessional Primer

The first thing that I noticed about this primer was that it is a really weird off-brown colour - I hope that's not just mine! On first application, I noticed that the texture is quite oily, especially compared to the primer I usually use, Nivea Express Hydration. I haven't really noticed much of a difference between this and other primers I have used in the past, which I was quite disappointed about. I also didn't really notice my pores looking any smaller or a change in how long my skin stays matte for. As the 22ml version of this is £24.50, I don't think I will be purchasing the full size version of this product. This seems strange as I have seen such good reviews on this product in the past, but I just don't feel that impressed with it - especially for the price.

Posie Tint

I wasn't too sure what to expect from this really as I hadn't heard a lot about it, but basically it acts as both a cheep and lip stain. In the bottle it looks really scary, however it's not as vibrant after application. The formula is actually quite watery, which allows easy blending on the cheeks and the lips. I don't tend to notice it too much on my cheeks, it just leaves a subtle pinky glow, which I actually really like. On the lips, I don't think it is too impressive - however I haven't found it to be drying. The colour isn't very intense at all and actually isn't too far away from my natural lip colour. I definitely wouldn't class this product as a 'stain' as I don't find that the colour lasts very well at all on the lips, however it has quite good staying power on the cheeks. Although I am quite enjoying experimenting with this product, I just can't justify spending £24.50 on the 12.5ml version.

Bad Gal Lash Mascara

I have wanted to try a Benefit mascara for so long, namely the They're Real. However, I have heard such mixed reviews on the They're Real that I wasn't too bothered that the Bad Gal Lash was part of this set instead of that one. I really like the applicator, as it has bristles as opposed to a horrible plastic applicator. The formula is quite thick which I also like as I love my lashes to have lots of volume. I find that this mascara both lengthens and volumises my lashes; which makes the perfect mascara for me. The only thing I would say is that it gives a very similar effect to my all time favourite mascara, Rimmel Scandaleyes - and of course Rimmel is just a fraction of the price. I'm not sure I could justify spending £17.50 on the full size version of this mascara when I can get a cheaper drugstore alternative that gives me a similar, if not identical effect.

Have you tried any of these products? Did you find similar things to me or did you view a product differently? Let me know in the comments!

MUA Blusher in Lolly ♡

I never really buy anything from MUA, however these £1 blushers really caught my eye yesterday while I was browsing around Superdrug. For just £1, many shades are available and they are of such good quality and pigmentation. I was really surprised at how pigmented the blushers are, as the colour in the pan transfers perfectly onto the cheeks. I chose to purchase a blusher in the shade 'Lolly'; which is a perfect powdery pink shade. I'm really excited to start using this, as it looks so pretty and natural. I would also quite like to try a couple of the other shades of the MUA blushers, as I am so impressed so far! The packaging is really secure and not too cheap looking at all, and the size of the product will make it perfect for taking in a make up bag while travelling.

Have you tried any of the MUA blushers? Which shades would you recommend? Let me know in the comments!

July Empties ♡

I have actually used up a lot of products this month, but they seem to have been used collectively over the space of a few months. I have already repurchased or replaced many of these items already!

Superdrug Deep Action Cleansing Lotion

I've bought this cleanser quite a few times, as I really like the clean feeling it gives to my skin - especially when I use it after removing all of my make up. Plus, I think this is only around £2.50! I actually haven't repurchased it this time as I really wanted to try the L'Oreal Micellar Solution due to the hype surrounding Micellar waters at the moment! (expect a review up on my blog shortly!)

Tigi Superstar Conditioner

I bought this from Amazon as I was desperate to try a Tigi product! I was so impressed with this, it smelt amazing and made my hair feel so soft and healthy. I think I will try out some different Tigi products before repurchasing this though!

Hollister Body Mist - Solana Beach

I'm actually so sad I've finished this! It was the first Hollister spray I ever bought and i've repurchased so many since! They smell so amazing and they're great to take for a quick freshen up on the go!

Garnier Simply Essentials Make Up Remover

I've repurchased this so many times as it is often on offer in Superdrug. It makes removing make up so easy as I don't have to rub my eyes or anything, it just takes it straight off! I have already repurchased this and i'm sure it'll be one of my favourites for a very long time!

Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer

This was the first pot of this that I ever bought, and I am so impressed! The formula is so nice and feels so soft on my skin. I think it really does help my make up to stay on for longer, and the best part of it is that it is so cheap! I have already repurchased this.

Have you tried any of these products? Let me know in the comments!
