Barry M Nail Polish | 333 Black Multi Glitter ♡

It's been so long since I actually got the chance to have a good look round the make up stands in Superdrug, but yesterday I finally got the long overdue opportunity. I never normally buy nail varnish, as I can't wear it for work so it seems pointless spending my money on something that i'm not going to get the chance to use. However, I was having a look for the Maybelline Colour Show polishes, as I really really wanted the black 'polka dot' polish. Unfortunately, my Superdrug didn't have it, so I decided to have a look at the new Barry M releases instead.

Personally, I absolutely love black nail polish. I think that it just looks so simple and cute, so I was drawn to this straight away. One of the things I love most about this nail polish is that every time I look at it, I notice a different colour of glitter. It's so so pretty and sparkly; I don't think i'll ever get bored of it. In addition to the cute sparkles, the polish is so well pigmented, just one shade provides a really strong coating of colour and glitter. One downside to this polish is that the finish can feel quite gritty, but that is easily sorted using a clear top coat!

Despite the fact that many will see this as a winter shade, I will definitely continue to wear this polish throughout the summer months as I absolutely love it and it gives an extra 'edgy' dimension to a look.

You can buy this polish for £2.99.

Fallen For The Hype: Urban Decay Naked Palette ♡

Hi everyone, firstly i'd just like to apologise for the lack of posts recently, i'm right in the midst of my exams and I have been dedicating a lot of my time to revision!

I have wanted the Urban Decay Naked Palette for what seems like forever, and when Debenhams offered a 10% off beauty offer, I simply couldn't say no. One of my main reasons (excuses) for buying this palette was that I am currently trying to decide on how to have my makeup for my upcoming Prom. I was torn between getting a MAC Palette or the Naked Palette, but the Naked Palette just had such better value for money.

After deciding against the MAC Palette, I then had to decide whether to get the Naked Palette or the Naked 2 Palette (decisions, decisions). In the end, my reasoning behind my choice was that the Naked Palette has more shimmery shades, and I find them much more wearable and easy to work with than matte brown shades. Also, I was really eager to try the Primer Potion, so it's great that it comes as a little freebie.

The eyeshadows are all so well pigmented and the colours are absolutely gorgeous. You can tell by the quality of the shadow and just the palette overall that it is most definitely worth the money. I really love using 'Buck' through my eyebrows, it's the perfect matte brown shade for me. I'm also loving using 'Half Baked' and 'Sin' as they are such beautiful colours, especially when used in the crease to give a soft, shimmery eye look.

Overall, i'm so so glad that I splashed out a little bit and finally bought this product, i'm so so pleased with the quality and usability of it and it is most definitely worth the hype!

Sorry it's been so long in between posts recently, but my exams are looming and I've become a little bit stressed out so it's hard to find some time where I am relaxed enough to sit and just write a blog post.

Today was one of my best friends birthdays, so we went out for a meal after school and I thought I'd show you the make up and outfit that I wore!

(I apologise for the mirror pictures of my outfit, my mum's camera skills were not up to scratch - the blurred photos she took were no where near good enough to go in this post!)

Rimmel Apocalips | Nude Eclipse ♡

I'm so late joining in on the hype with the Rimmel Apocalips range, but I was intrigued to read reviews about them before purchasing, as I wasn't too sure if there were any shades that would suit me.
Earlier in the week, ASOS held a 24-hour beauty sale, in which the Rimmel Apocalips were included at just £4 with free delivery; so I couldn't resist getting one for myself!

Some of the shades in the Apocalips range are absolutely incredibly loud and bright, especially Big Bang! I tend to stick to nude-pinky shades, as I am not too daring with lip colour yet! Nude Eclipse is perfect for me as it is a really dusky pink-nude colour that is really moisturising and easy to apply. It has the properties of a liquid lipstick, however it is not at all too thick or greasy.
It lasts for a good few hours, but obviously re-applying is necessary after drinking or eating.
Overall, i'm really glad I finally have this product and I am a little intrigued to branch out into some of the brighter colours!

Please let me know what you think in the comments!

April Favourites 2013!♡

I don't regularly do favourites posts, as I don't really think that I try enough different products over the course of just one month, or use them enough to be able to deem them a 'favourite'. However, this month I have been loving a few products in particular!
I am also trying out different styles for my blog. Today, the pictures featured have been taken on a ditsy floral background instead of a plain white background. Please let me know in the comments whether you prefer pictures with a plain white background or a busier, more colourful background, as it would be really helpful!

MUA Undress Me Too Palette

(For some reason, the pictures seem to have come out really badly in this post, sorry!)

I absolutely love this palette, I use it nearly every day and the colour range is so versatile. I am a huge fan of neutral eyeshadows, so this palette is perfect for me! I can definitely see the similarities to the Urban Decay Naked Palette. The price is absolutely amazing too, at just £4 for a full palette of beautiful eyeshadows! You can find this here.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Ã‰clat Foundation

I have already actually done a post about this foundation, as I picked up a free sample from my nearest YSL counter (You can read that post here). I gave in and decided to buy the full version of the foundation, as I loved the tester so much. It's such a light, summery foundation that looks so natural. I have this foundation in the shade BR10, which is a perfect shade for people with paler skin. You can find this here.

MAC Lipstick in Hue

This is my favourite lipstick ever, I wear it at every opportunity and i'm already planning on repurchasing it when this one runs out! It's such a perfect natural, nude lip colour; much like a 'your lips but better' shade. I find it to be really moisturising and creamy on the lips, it's definitely not drying at all. I love wearing this for school as it is subtle yet it looks so pretty!

Soap & Glory Clear Here Moisturiser

I am so pleasantly surprised with this product! I bought it with the intention of just trying it out, not really knowing what I would think of it; but it has quickly become part of my daily skin care routine! I have noticed a difference with the amount of blackheads and blemishes appearing on my skin after using this moisturiser, as it is significantly less! It feels so refreshing and makes my face feel really tight (in a good way, not a weird botox way..) I am really intrigued to try other Soap and Glory skincare products after buying this!

Lush Breath Of Fresh Air Toner Water

I tried this for the first time a few months ago, and I absolutely love it! It is so refreshing and makes my skin feel so awake and revitalised, which is why I especially love using it on a morning. It's also really nice for lazy no-makeup days, as I just give my skin a quick spray of this every so often! As with all Lush products, it's really nice to know that all ingredients are natural and good for the skin.

So that completes my April favourites, I hope you enjoyed it! If you have any recommendations for posts you would like to see on this blog, please let me know!
