Testing Out The Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation | BR10 ♡

Just over a week ago, I found a deal in which you can use a code in order to receive a free tester of the new Yves Saint Laurent foundation, 'Le Teint Touche Éclat'. You can find this here (ends Friday 10th May, but samples may run out before then!)

As part of this deal, I received a text message from YSL, entitling me to a free sample. I took this to my nearest YSL counter and simply just showed the text message to the person behind the counter. I was then matched to the perfect shade for my skin; which was so helpful! I was given a tester in the shade BR10.

I was really impressed with the size of the tester, as it has lasted me longer than the 7 days that it is designed to be used over!

This foundation is such a perfect colour match for my skin, it looks so natural! I apply this using my Real Techniques Buffing Brush, and it just applies so easily and never feels thick or caked. The coverage is good enough to cover patches of redness and blemishes, however I still have to use concealer alongside this foundation just to give a bit of extra coverage, especially underneath my eyes.

At the moment, I see this foundation as more of a summer foundation. I think that during the winter, I would reach more for my Rimmel Match Perfection foundation, as that is also a favourite of mine.

I am so unbelievably tempted to buy the full size version of this, I love it so much, it looks so natural and makes my skin appear radiant and healthy. (I currently have the foundation open on the Selfridges website in another tab, this is torture!!!)

I would definitely recommend going and getting a sample of this foundation, just remember to use the deal properly and make sure you've received the text message first!

Today I received two packages in the post, one from New Look and one from Topshop. How cute is the Topshop delivery packaging by the way?! They're two items i've wanted for quite a while, but now i've got them, i'm not sure whether to keep them.. PLEASE offer some advice or your opinions, it would be really helpful!

I was thinking of styling it with a leather jacket, and maybe white hi-top converse..

I can't decide if it looks right or if it does my figure any favours.. please help!!

Quick and Easy Beach Curls/Waves!♡

I style my hair like this pretty much every day as it is so quick and easy, and looks so nice and girly. It's super simple, however I think it is more effective on longer hair. It looks great whether you're just wearing casual clothes or if you're dressing up!

This is the look to create:

Step One

You may want to pre-heat your hair straighteners. I usually set mine to be on a high heat setting.
I am using my Toni & Guy straighteners.

Step Two

Once your straighteners are hot enough, you need to split your hair into two parts. Then, twist one part of your hair so that it looks like this:

Remember, the tighter you twist your hair, the tighter the curls and waves will be.

Step Three

Take your straighteners with your other hand, making sure that the twisted hair is held and kept tight at all times. Next, starting from the top of the 'twist', go down the hair just clenching the straightener together and holding it down for a few seconds per section.

(This was really hard to get a picture of)

This should be done using short presses of the straightener, not the 'pulling' motion used when straightening hair.

Step Four

You should be left with your hair looking like this:

Carefully pull apart the twist of hair, and you should see a few defined curls, like this:

Step Five

The whole procedure needs to be repeated on the other half of the hair. Then, I use a small amount of hairspray just to hold the curls. Sometimes I use a salt spray to make the look a bit more tousled. My favourite is the salt spray by Fudge Urban, as it does such a good job and smells like coconut!

I really hope you find this helpful and that it works for other people, please let me know your thoughts on it!

Small Delilah Dust Jewellery Haul ♡

I recently ordered a few items as part of the Delilah Dust sale. It was the second time I had ordered from Delilah Dust, and the service and overall quality of the products was as great as ever!

Infinity Bracelet

I absolutely love infinity themed things, it's actually the tattoo i'm planning on getting when I turn eighteen. It's so delicate, cute and pretty and i'm sure i'll wear it pretty much all the time! This bracelet was just £2.

Swallow Bracelet

Swallows are one of my favourite symbols. They're so pretty and I love the idea of flight and travelling. I think this is my favourite thing that I bought, it's so so pretty and I can't wait to wear it! This bracelet was £2.50.

Infinity Necklace

This necklace is just like the infinity bracelet. It's so pretty and sits so nicely especially when wearing a round neck top or underneath the collar of a blouse. This necklace was £2.

Gold Spine Necklace

This necklace is so unique and different! It looks so nice underneath the collar of a shirt or blouse. Just like the other items, it's so delicate and pretty. It cost £4, however with a 10% discount I only paid £3.60!

The products are such good value for money, as they are so gorgeous! With free delivery too, who could complain?! The customer service is great, as the company is really easy to contact, especially through Twitter. I will definitely be ordering from Delilah Dust again in the near future!

Primark & H&M Haul | April 2013 ♡

Yesterday I took a trip to Primark; as there isn't one where I live and I only go two or three times a year! Normally i'm not too impressed with Primark and end up only buying a single top, but they seem to be really on point with the trends at the moment and I ended up picking up a few pieces that I really like!
I also went into H&M and got  top that I like, however I had to actually look around the shop twice to find it!

Necklace - Primark

I really like statement necklaces at the moment, so I was so happy when I found this for just £3! I also really like the aztec/tribal theme of the detailing. This will look so nice with a plain top.

The Beatles Tee - Primark

I do in fact listen to and love The Beatles, so I deem it acceptable that I have bought a t-shirt with them on. I love the oversized-ness of this, and rolled up sleeves always look so nice on basic t-shirts. It's such great value at £8, and it will be great to just throw on over leggings or skinny jeans!

Black Cropped Tee - Primark

I've wanted a plain cropped t-shirt for quite a while now, and for £3 I couldn't not buy one. The rolled up sleeves are a really nice addition to this tee too. I think that the necklace featured at the beginning of this post will look really really nice with this top.

Lace Collar Blouse - Primark

I love blouses with lace detailing, so this caught my eye straight away. It's also really long and floaty, which I really like... and it was just £8! The only thing is that I seem to have picked up one with a little pull in the back of it :( but i'll still make sure I get my wear out of it.

Black Skinny Jeans - Primark

For just £11, Primark skinny jeans are an absolute bargain. Black skinny jeans can be used against leggings, as they go really nicely with tops like blouses.

Studded Black Leather Bag - Primark

This bag will be perfect for school, and especially college when I start in late August. It has lots of room and a longer adjustable strap, which I really like, and it was just £12!

Black Studded Satchel - Primark

I bought this with the intention of using it for school, just like the last bag featured in this post. It will also be nice to use at the weekend, as it is a really cute twist on a classic satchel. (and it was just £9)

Ditsy Floral Bedding - Primark

I've never really looked in the 'home' section of Primark before, but I managed to find this really cute duvet cover. I'm getting my room decorated at the moment, so it will look so cute when it is finished.

Lace Blouse - H&M

Lace is one of my favourite trends. This blouse is really sheer, so will require a thin vest top to be worn underneath it. It has a sort of cropped-fit, but it is really nice and really flattering. This blouse was £14.99.
