Soap & Glory - 'The Yule Monty' ♡

'The Yule Monty' is a collection of some of Soap & Glory's best known and best loved products. When I saw this go on sale for just £27 I could not resist buying one for myself. (I may have bought another one afterwards too, oops).  It's such a huge saving, as the set was previously on sale for £60!

The set comes in this lovely patterned bag by designer Jonathan Saunders. I'm definitely going to keep some products in this, it's too pretty not to!

The set consists of nine different full sized products:

Butter Yourself Moisture Lotion - I'm really excited to try this product as I have heard so much about it. Plus, I'm hoping it can save my skin from the wintery conditions.
Sugar Crush Body Wash - This smells so amazing, the mix of refreshing lime with sweet sugar is absolutely divine.
The Scrub Of Your Life Body Buffer - I have never tried a body buffer before, so I'm excited to see how this product fairs with my skin.

Peaches and Clean Deep Purifying Cleanser - I haven't really tried many creamy cleansers before, so I'm really looking forward to trying this one!
Heel Genius Foot Cream - I'm so interested and excited to try this product, as I haven't tried much like it before!
Hand Food Hand Cream - I've been meaning to pick some of this up for such a long time, so I'm really glad I can finally try it out.

The Righteous Butter Body Butter - This is one of the most well known products in the selection and I can't believe I haven't tried it yet. I think that this will work really well alongside 'The Scrub of Your Life'

Sexy Mother Pucker XL in Pink Out Loud - After months and months of debating, I can finally give this lip plumper a try. The colour is so pretty and I'm looking forward to seeing if it works effectively as a plumper!
Thick & Fast Super Volume Mascara - I've not really heard a lot about this, but I haven't tried any of the Soap and Glory make up range so I'm happy to give it a go!

Overall, this set is ridiculously good value for money, the products featured in it are all incredible. This set has sold out online on the Boots websites, however I think some are still available in stores, so i'd highly recommend picking one up.

Have you tried any of these products before? Let me know in the comments!

Haul - Primark, Topshop & New Look | November ♡

I'm back! Sorry about my recent absence, it feels like I've been gone for absolutely ages. I've had so much going on at the moment with college work and gigs (I've seen Ellie Goulding, Nina Nesbitt, Gabrielle Aplin and Bastille in the space of ONE MONTH)! Anyway, I have a quite exciting post today as I rarely do clothing hauls, so these are just a few things that I picked up when I went shopping last weekend!

Denim Jacket - Topshop

I am absolutely in love with this, it is definitely my favourite piece of clothing I now own. It's so fluffy and cosy so it's perfect for winter, and it's great to wear over layered tops and jumpers with a scarf. It was around £58 but I know that I will definitely get my wear out of this, I always do with Topshop clothes. I am certain that this will last me such a long time and that i'll be really glad of this on cold winter mornings.

Grey Cut Out Tee - Topshop

I love clothes with cut out detailing, so when I saw this in Topshop for only £12 I couldn't resist. It makes a really slouchy grey tee a bit more interesting and I really like it.

Bag - Primark

At only £10, this bag was an absolute bargain. It's a bit older and more sophisticated than bags I've owned in the past which makes me excited to use it. It actually has loads of space inside which is great too!

Plaid Cropped Tee - Primark

I think this was only around £6, and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. It's so cute, I think it will look great with some high waisted black trousers and heels.

Grey Snood - Primark

You can never have too many snoods. I picked this one up as it was only £5 but it is so chunky and cosy. As it is grey it will go with pretty much everything, I know I'll be wearing this a lot as the weather gets even colder!

Jumper - Primark

I always have a look in the mens section in Primark, especially in winter as I love all of their slouchy jumpers. I picked this one up for around £6, and it's so nice and cosy. It's great for layering underneath jackets too.

Plaid Bottoms - Primark

I always stock up on pyjamas when I visit Primark, but I especially love these plaid bottoms that they have. I own about 4 pairs now, they're so pretty and comfortable but they're only £5. I'm definitely going to get some more next time I go!

Winter Coat - New Look

Finally I have found a winter coat! I've been after one for absolutely ages and I finally found this one in New Look. It's so fluffy and warm, I especially love the hood. I really like the military style of it too. I think this was around £50.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick | In Love With Ginger ♡

(Please ignore the awful application)

I was lucky enough to win this lipstick through a competition on the Rimmel Facebook page. I didn't have the option to choose which shade of the new Moisture Renew range I won, so I was very surprised when it arrived in the post. Firstly, I think the name is absolutely adorable. The whole of this range has really cute names, especially Mayfair Red Lady and Saved By The Bell. I'm not overly keen on the outer casing of the product, I think that the purple plastic lid looks quite cheap, but I suppose that comes with the very reasonable price tag of just £6.49.

I was so scared when I opened this and saw the colour, as I am definitely not daring when it comes to bright lipsticks. In my head I immediately wrote it off and thought "nope, never going to wear it", but when I actually applied it, I began to feel myself slowly falling in love with it. I've never really experimented with red lipsticks before. I own MAC Russian Red however this is much more of a bright, orange toned red. The pigmentation is amazing, although I didn't expect anything less from a Rimmel lipstick if i'm honest. The formula is so soft and creamy, it definitely does not dry out your lips at all and it gives off a beautiful shine. As well as all of this, it has fantastic staying power, i've found mine to last for a good few hours (including drinking) without having to reapply. Obviously I won't wear this on a day to day basis, but I think it would look great with an evening outfit or for a party.

Have you tried any of the new Rimmel Moisture Renew lipsticks? Are there any other shades that you've got your eye on? Let me know in the comments!

Recent Drugstore Beauty Purchases ♡

Before college today I took a little trip to Boots and Superdrug, as I haven't actually bought anything beauty related in such a long time so I decided to try out some new products (and revisit some old ones).

((Lots of the pictures in this post have decided to go blurry for absolutely no reason, they're absolutely fine but as soon as I put them into the post they go blurry, waaaah :( sorry!))

Lee Stafford Hair Care

I've been wanting to try some Argan Oil related hair products for such a long time now but honestly I've just never felt like I had enough money. However, I have made a promise to myself to look after my hair more, and with an offer in Boots that allowed me to get all of these products for just £20, I couldn't resist. I decided upon getting the Deep Nourishing Treatment (usually £14.99), Curl Creme (I can't find this online :() and the Nourishing Conditioner (usually £10.99). I was really pleased with the saving that I managed to make, and i'm so excited to start using these products and actually taking good care of my hair!

Aussie Leave-In Conditioner

I got this from Superdrug on offer for around £2.50, which I thought was good value for an Aussie product. I have used some of their conditioners in the past and they have always made my hair really lovely and soft, so I decided to pick up one of their spray conditioners. It is absolutely vital for me to use one of these types of products, as my hair gets so tangled after it has been washed and it is an absolute nightmare to try and run a brush through. I have used this a couple of times and it makes my hair feel really silky and lightweight - plus, it smells like bubblegum!

Got2B Dry Oil Mist

Sticking to the topic of hair care, I also picked this up from Superdrug for around £4. I've never actually seen a 'dry oil mist' around before, but it was so new and intriguing that I just had to get it. I've used this a couple of times and noticed that it makes my hair a lot shinier, but I haven't noticed a huge difference to the feel of my hair.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

I wish I knew how many times I have purchased this concealer. I don't even know what more to say about it, sometimes I feel like I mention it too much on here, but it's just great and I can't imagine ever stopping using it.

Natural Collection White Eyeliner

I like to use a white eyeliner on my waterline every single day just to open my eyes slightly and make them appear a bit brighter and more awake. My MUA one had been worn down to the tiniest little stub of pencil, so I decided to splash out an extra £2 and pick up a new one.

Good Things Miracle Mattifier Moisturiser

I have been looking for a new moisturiser for a while now, as my skin has gone craaaazy now that the weather has turned colder and it is much more prone to dryness and patchy areas. Thankfully, Andrew and Danni on Twitter suggested that I tried this product by Good Things, so I decided to pick it up today and give it a go. I've never tried anything from this brand before but I've heard good reviews so i'm intrigued to try it!

Do you have any recommendations of products that I should try? Have you tried out any of these products before? Please let me know in the comments!

School/College Make Up Essentials ♡

When I was at school, I got so lazy with make up, as getting up at 6:30 to make time to do it just really was not worth it. I also decided that the drugstore was the way forward, as I didn't see much point in spending lots of money on a high end foundation that i'm only going to wear to school. Therefore, I have compiled a selection of products that I think are great budget staples for lazy, natural make up for school.

Foundation

There are so many foundations in the drugstore and there are so many that I am yet to try but I just love the Rimmel Match Perfection. I feel like I have talked about it so many times on my blog, but it's just one of those products that I always find myself reverting back to. (I did a whole post on it here). It gives a medium coverage and the lightest shade (light porcelain) is an absolutely perfect colour match for my skin so if you are pale and struggling to find a good colour match, i'd strongly suggest trying out this foundation. I find that it stays on pretty much all day, so it is great for school. I apply this using a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and then buff it into the skin using a Real Techniques Buffing Brush in order to give a really natural look.

Concealer

I think this product was a bit of a given. I don't even know how many times I have purchased the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. It gives such good coverage and is so long lasting that I can't help but just go back to it every time. It's great for concealing redness, dark under eye circles and blemishes so it really is an all purpose concealer and it only has a small price tag - perfect!

Powder

Again, I don't know how many times I have purchased this powder, it's such good value. It makes my skin stay matte (ha) for sooo long and I feel like it really sets in my make up. I get this powder in the lightest shade and it is perfect, so again, if you're pale skinned, this would be a good product to consider.

Blusher

I absolutely love this blusher, it's so well pigmented and such a pretty colour, I can't believe it was only £1. I have yet to try any of the other MUA blushers, but I am very much intending to as I have been so impressed by this shade, Lolly. It gives a lovely natural looking pinky glow to the cheeks with minimal effort, it looks so so pretty.

Mascara

After falling in love with the original Scandaleyes mascara, I was really intrigued to try the Retro Glam when it got released. I has an applicator with bristles which I love, it makes my lashes appear long and fanned out while still giving them loads of volume. One coat is enough to give a lovely natural effect.

Lip Balm

It is about time I mention a Baby Lips on my blog, it doesn't feel complete without it. These are great for school as they are cheap, moisturising and they smell lovely so it's easy to just take them in your bag with you so that you can re apply throughout the day.

Do you have any alternatives for these products that I should try? Let me know in the comments!

College OOTD ft. Boohoo and Topshop ♡

Firstly, i'd like to apologise for the awful photography in this post, i've had to deal with rubbish mirror iPhone shots :(. I hope it still does the outfit justice though!

I love how the Boohoo jumper has 'cold shoulder' cut outs, I think it's so cool!
These Topshop jeans are my new favourite jeans ever, they may be £38 but they are so comfortable and high quality, they're definitely worth it!

It was a perfect outfit to wear for a full day of college as it was so slouchy and comfortable, yet I loved accessorizing it with a few vintage rings and a gold statement necklace.

What do you think? Please let me know in the comments!

The Autumn Tag ♡

I have been tagged by the lovely blusherandbronze to complete The Autumn Tag! This makes me so happy as I absolutely love autumn and i'm honestly having way too much fun changing my wardrobe over from summer to autumn.

Favourite thing about Autumn

My favourite thing about Autumn is being able to wear slouchy fit jumpers! It's such a simple thing but it's so comfy and cosy, it makes me so happy!

Favourite drink

Definitely tea! Milk, no sugar. This isn't specific to Autumn at all though to be honest, I drink excessive amounts of tea all year round!

Favourite scent/candle

I haven't really had chance to try lots of Yankee Candles, but I absolutely love 'fluffy towels', it's such a lovely, clean scent.

Best lipstick?

I love wearing 'Hot Tahiti' by MAC in Autumn. It's such a beautiful berry colour.

Go-to moisturiser?

My go-to moisturiser is definitely the Simple Rich Moisturiser. It feels so great on my skin and it has a budget friendly price which is great too.

Go-to colour for the eyes?

I'm going to try and experiment with eyeshadows a lot more this autumn, I need to become more comfortable with smoky eye looks! I love using shades such as 'Half Baked' and 'Smog' by Urban Decay.

Favourite music to listen to?

In Autumn I love listening to acoustic-y, slow songs. Some of my favourites are:

#3 - Lewis Watson
All I Want - Kodaline
Salvation - Gabrielle Aplin

Favourite outfit to wear?

I love just wearing a big baggy jumper with jeans or leggings. It's so simple but so easy and comfortable.

Autumn treat?

I currently have my eye on a beautiful coat from Miss Selfridge, so I think that will end up being my Autumn treat to myself. That and excessive amounts of biscuits.

Favourite place to be

In Autumn, my favourite place to be is wrapped up in bed on my laptop (surprise) with a cup of tea and rain hitting the window. So cliche but so so perfect.

I hope you enjoyed this tag! I tag everyone so please feel free to take part, and if you do post your links in the comments, i'd love to read them!!

Sleek 'Rose Gold' vs Dainty Doll 'You Are My Sunshine' ♡

(top - Dainty Doll, bottom - Sleek)

I've wanted to try 'Rose Gold' by Sleek for such a long time, but as my Superdrug doesn't stock Sleek anymore, I decided to wait until there was an opportunity to get free online delivery. When it arrived, I could help but notice how similar it looked to a blusher that I already own, 'You Are My Sunshine' from the Dainty Doll range.

In the pan, they look almost exactly the same as they are both quite coral-y pinks with a lot of shimmer, which looks beautiful in the sunlight. When swatched, 'Rose Gold' is actually a bit more of a darker pink, whereas 'You Are My Sunshine' has more of a light, orange tone. Both products have fantastic pigmentation, but i'd have to say that Sleek has the slight edge as it didn't take as many tries to get a decent swatch. I feel like the Dainty Doll blush is a bit softer and nicer to apply, although the powder is the tiniest bit more chalky. Both products have a gorgeous golden shimmer that looks so beautiful, especially when the sun hits it.

At the moment, i'd have to say that the Sleek blusher is my favourite, but I think that is purely because it is new to me and it is a product that I have been lusting after for a long time. I don't think that one blusher is marginally better than the other, as both are of fantastic quality and they are two similar yet beautiful shades. I will definitely continue to use both of these products.

'You Are My Sunshine' from the Dainty Doll range can be found here.
'Rose Gold' by Sleek Makeup can be found here.

Have you tried either of these products? Have you found any other dupes for either of these blushers? Let me know in the comments!

August Favourites ♡

I have actually been trying out a lot of new beauty products this month, which is nice as once I find a product I like, I usually just stick to using it. I'm looking to continue expanding my make up collection, as I am starting college next week (help) and I will be able to experiment with make up a bit more than I was able to at school.

EOS Lip Balm - Summer Fruits

My friend Lucy recently visited America (which I am sooo jealous about) and she actually brought me back a few beauty items which was really nice of her. One of the things she got me was this EOS lip balm. I have wanted one of these for so long as they are pretty much iconic in the beauty world. Essentially, it is just a lip balm but the shape of the container is so cute and different that it seems like so much more than a lip balm to me. I have this in 'Summer Fruits' and it smells so nice! I do find it to be quite moisturising on the lips, so it is great to just throw in a bag and apply throughout the day.

Loreal Micellar Water

I was so intrigued to try out a Micellar Water due to the Bioderma hype. I had heard pretty good things about the L'Oreal version so I decided to pick it up on a trip to Superdrug, and I have not been disappointed. I love how easy it is to remove make up with this water, it is so much better than any actual make up remover solutions I have used in the past. It is great for removing both face and eye make up and it doesn't feel harsh on the skin or eyes at all. I have already repurchased this!

Fudge Urban Iced Vanilla and Raspberry Hairspray

Firstly, how pretty is the design on the can?! If i'm completely honest, I first bought this hairspray due to the 'gimmick' feature of the iced raspberry and vanilla scent. Although it does smell amazing, it has such a good hold too! It doesn't leave my hair feeling sticky or 'crispy', which so many other hairsprays have done in the past. It really helps to lock in a hairstyle and it lasts pretty much all day. I have already repurchased this and I can see myself using this product for such a long time as I literally do not have a bad word to say about it.

Lush Face Mask - Love Lettuce

One of the things I love the most about going on trips to Lush is how helpful the staff are. It can be quite daunting at first as they do pretty much pounce on you when you enter the store, but I love it as they are so helpful and knowledgeable about all of their products. I have been wanting to try a Lush facemask for such a long time but I never really knew which one to pick as there are so many. After a quick consultation with a member of staff, I was told that Love Lettuce is great for drier skin. I must admit I was a bit dubious as I never really see results from face masks but I decided to give it a go anyway. It leaves my skin feeling so soft and clean, it's absolutely amazing. You can get so many uses out of the one pot, I can't wait to give some of the other face masks a try!

Topshop Lipstick - Innocent

I've actually already spoken about this lipstick on my blog before (you can read this here). I have loved using this in the summer as it is such a vibrant pink, so it really adds something to an outfit. The consistency is so lovely, it's so creamy and not at all drying on the lips. I really can't wait to try some more Topshop lipsticks - any ideas of which shades I should try?

Music Favourites

Sweater Weather - The Neighbourhood (x)
Undercover Martyn - Two Door Cinema Club (x)
Hanging On - Ellie Goulding (x)
Love Like This - Kodaline (x)
#3 - Lewis Watson (x)

Have you tried any of these products? Do you have any recommendations of products that I should try? Let me know in the comments!
